Sockeye Brewery is a community centered establishment. We focus on local beers, fresh food, live local music, and a belief that quality comes first. It only makes sense that we consider our staff family. We host a strong group of well-trained, educated, knowledgeable servers. A staff that has strong ties to the community, and believe in local product. We’re your next door neighbors, with friendly personalities and professional, attentive attitudes. Our staff truly cares, and it shows in the food, the beer, and most of all, the atmosphere.

General Manager.

 

Zach has been General Manager at Sockeye since 2003. He brings to Sockeye over 26 years of restaurant experience.

 

He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys disk golf, hiking, skiing and Mountain Biking.

 

Production Manager.

 

Kevin was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan and began home brewing soon after experiencing the full flavors of micro beers in the late 1980’s. His professional life opened up the minute he was hired as an assistant brewer in 1996. He had a great mentor and teacher who taught him well and gave him the tools he needed to continue onward. He has been fortunate to be surrounded by the best of peers, professionals and people while he continued to learn and grow as a person and a craftsman. “I am proud to be from this great state where barley is abundant, hops are rising, and beers are enjoyed fully.” -Kevin Bolen

Assistant Manager.

 

Dawn graduated from Boise State in 2000 with a BA in Biology and an endorsement in Secondary Education. She has worked for over 25 years in the service industry and has always been tightly connected to the craft beer world.

 

She is a nature lover with a big appreciation for education, life and the absolute miracle of it.

Chef

 

Brad graduated from Boise State’s University Culinary Arts Program. He has worked in many familiar local kitchens; The Gamekeeper, Murphys, The Ram, and Redfish Lodge as well as fine dining in Kansas City and the Reno-Tahoe area.

 

His Spare time is filled with food as well, as his sweetheart is also a Chef in our community. Brad loves his Harley, and BSU. Come on in and say hello to Brad.
