Bend, OR – February 11, 2020 -
Sockeye Brewing from Boise, Idaho is adding two gold medals to their list of achievements in brewing excellence today. Within the friendly competitive nature of the craft beer industry, Sockeye beers were submitted along other notable craft breweries throughout the United States. Sockeye Brewing was one of four Idaho-based breweries to claim medals at the competition this year.
The annual Best of Craft Beer Awards takes place at Mount Bachelor Village Resort in the "beer town” of Bend, Oregon. This year, judging took place over a 3-day period by 96 of the finest, BJCP certified judges. They awarded 262 gold, silver, and bronze medals to 170 brewery locations from a total of 33 states. Of the accolades awarded, Sockeye’s Maibock Spring Seasonal won a gold medal in the traditional German-style bock category. Redfish Rauchbock, a recent GABF gold medal winner, took the other gold medal in the Smoked Beer category.
