Looking for Boise’s Best Beer? Come to Sockeye’s patio at our Pub & Grill on Cole & Ustick. Boise’s Best Beer is an Idaho IPA of distinction—Dagger Falls IPA, the flagship beer for Sockeye Brewing. It’s a legendary Idaho IPA, named for the famed Sockeye salmon that returns to its birthplace in the shadow of the Sawtooth Mountains after traveling to the Pacific Ocean. Sockeye brews are also on tap throughout the Treasure Valley and across Idaho, as well as migrating beyond our native borders to NE Washington. Along with fresh pours from the tap, Sockeye can be found in portable cans—making our fine, handcrafted brews easy to enjoy in the great outdoors of Idaho and the mountain West.
Now you can take delicious Idaho craft beer to high mountain peaks, like Galena Summit, or to a humble Idaho creek bed. Backpackers are concerned about every ounce of weight in their pack, so don’t forget the stash you could leave at the end of the return trail. You figure out how to keep it cold, and the motherlode is waiting upon your return. Portability is probably the best part about canned beer, and there’s no better time than the warm months of summer and early fall to get out and put that portability to work for your enjoyment.
But, let’s not forget easily portable cans that make a delicious reward on your Fall hunting trip or fishing outing. Sockeye brews are tasty accompaniments to your prized catch!
Visit our Pub and Grill on Cole Road near Ustick Road, and enjoy one of the first craft beer destinations for Boise Beer. In the warmer months, good times are to be had out on the patio, with live music on Tuesday and Friday nights. Our patio scene is one you’ll want to drink up in every way! When the weather cools, live music moves indoors and continues on Tuesday and Friday nights.
A whole array of beers are on tap, from our “Native Six” to our seasonals and special releases. Our menu from Chef Brad Severeid includes Pub & Grill favorites, daily specials, and beer and food pairings. All this is complimented by our friendly and attentive service.
A second location for Sockeye fans to enjoy our distinctive offerings will open in the later part of 2014, on Fairview near Cloverdale in West Boise. This is also the location of our expanded brewery and canning line.
Idaho Beer was inspired on an Idaho river, and we have plenty of them. This particular river is the Middle Fork of the Salmon, which runs through a vast designated Wilderness area, in the shadow of the Sawtooth Mountains, home to Idaho’s legendary Sockeye salmon. This Sockeye travels hundreds of miles from birthplace to the Pacific and back in its lifetime. We’re on a journey of our own, brewing Idaho’s long-running handcrafted beer, in a special place we are glad to call home.
